Cou cou from Paris! Last year, I wrote my 2024 Wish List and some things came true, others are still on the list, and a few fell off. This morning, I’m updating my wish list and sharing my current desires for home + fashion.
Eileen Gray table lamp. I’ve been looking for this vintage lamp at a decent price for yearssss. Eileen Gray (1878–1976) was an Irish-born architect and furniture designer known for her influential contributions to modernist design and the Art Deco movement. She is celebrated for her innovative, elegant, and functional designs, which combined modern materials with a refined aesthetic. Gray was one of the first women to achieve prominence in the male-dominated fields of architecture and design.
Sézane parka and vest. I love the look and functionality of the Hugo Sézane jacket with the drawstring waist and buttoned front pockets. It comes in four colors but I like the sand or black the best. For this summer, I aspire to get into vests. They’ve been trending for 1-2 years, but I haven’t jumped on that trend bandwagon yet. If I do, I love the black one or maybe I’ll find a vintage cream linen version.
Tabi ballerinas. You either love or hate the Maison Margiela Tabi’s. What team are you on? Personally, I love them and they are so comfortable for my daily 10,000 steps. I’ve been eyeing the new ballerina flats for spring, summer, and early fall. Bonus, they are less expensive in France since it’s a European brand. So, come shop in Paris!
Antique jardin furniture. I’ve been on the hunt for cool French jardin furniture. It’s difficult to find a set in good condition without rust. All the sets I’ve found have rust but I could powder coat them or let them go au natural. If you have powder coated outdoor patio furniture, please comment below. Merci! Below is an example of antique garden furniture in rough shape, so I’m leaning towards something new that looks worn and old.

Desede Non Stop sofa. Like the Eileen Gray lamp, I’ve wanted this sofa in black for years. They are extremely hard to find and très expensive, but a girl can dream. Recently, I purchased a Desede ottoman for my daughter’s room for 250 Euros, what a steal! If you’re unfamiliar with the brand, De Sede is a renowned Swiss luxury furniture manufacturer known for its exceptional craftsmanship, innovative designs, and premium-quality leather furniture. The company began in 1965 as a small saddlery workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland, and has since become an iconic brand in the world of high-end interior design.

Vintage Togo. I love my 1970s Togo sofas (recovered in new black leather) and I’m looking to add to the collection. You can find them online on 1st Dibs and Chairish, but they are more expensive in the States unfortunately due to shipping. Like a lot of iconic furniture, there are dupes and copycats out there- very controversial. If you’re on a tight budget, here’s an Amazon fogo- aka fake togo. lol.
Lemaire parka. Clearly I’m into parkas right now! Probably because it’s always grey in Paris and it rains here A LOT. Lemaire is the coolest brand and I just adore their clothes and accessories. This ivory parka looks perfect for Paris and Austin which is a win win.
Mario Botta sconce. I’m in love with the cream version, but South Loop Loft has an amazing pair of the silver shogun sconces if you prefer a cooler tone. Mario Botta is a renowned Swiss architect known for his bold geometric designs and masterful use of materials like brick, stone, and concrete. His work, including iconic projects like the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Church of San Giovanni Battista, emphasizes symmetry, light, and integration with the environment.
Jacques Blin ceramics. Ok, Substack says that I’m running out of space but I would LOVE something, anything by Parisian ceramicist Jacques Blin.
Phoebe Philo Peak Sunglasses. When this style of sunnies first dropped, they were available in a tortoise color way, but now they are just in black. I’ve been waiting for the brown, but I don’t think she will re-release them. What do you think? Are they too overdone?! Comment below svp.
A.P.C. Grace bag. Last but not least. Parisians love the A.P.C. Grace bag and the Sézane Milo, which is about half the price. You can’t go wrong with either, both are French classics.
What do you think of my 2025 Wish List? Please let me know in comments! I would LOVE to hear your thoughts and opinions!
Bon Dimanche! Happy Sunday!
Bisous,
Allison

I second the Heeled Ballerina Tabis! I have them in aubergine, and they are the perfect elevated workhorse
