Bienvenue to the first Le Note. It’s Le Note #1. My brain is like popcorn. I have all these ideas constantly popping and they need Tupperware. My thoughts need to be contained and organized into insightful notes that we can all learn from; hence, Le Note. It’s random, insightful, and hopefully entertaining. Not every Postcard will be a Le Note because I have soooo much interior design advice to share with you plus Paris things.
Since getting back to Paris after 7 weeks in the States, I’ve experienced a LOT of FIRSTS. My first Paralympics event, first concert at L’Olympia, first trip to Disneyland Paris, first time driving in Europe, first Swiss alps wedding, and first lunch at Bistrot Paul Bert. What a whirlwind!
If you’re considering Disneyland Paris, I have some thoughts. It’s cheaper than the American parks and really easy to access on a 45 minute train ride from central Paris. My daughter enjoyed it, but she’s not obsessed and not asking to go back. If you’re obsessed with Disney and you’re in Paris, go! If it’s in your budget, get the premium passes because the regular lines are longgggg.
Next time you’re in Paris, go to Bistrot Paul Bert but DON’T ask for ketchup. They won’t serve it and instead offer “French ketchup” aka mayonnaise instead. lol. Regardless, GO, get the filet steak with frites and sit on the patio if weather permits. You can’t make reservations online and you have to call {making a reservation over the phone in French is awkward for me every single time} and I always prefer a noon reservation before places get crowded. After my steak, I ordered a cafe allonge which is a coffee thicker than an americano but not as dense as an espresso. It sits in the middle.
Next week, I have reservations at Septime with an American expat friend so I’ll keep you posted on the experience. If there’s anything specific you want to see in Postcards from Paris, please comment! I’m working on some design articles and will share soon!
Thank you for reading and have a fabulous weekend! I appreciate you!
Xx
