Erewhon Smoothie Run meets "My Mom Works for Jacquemus" Moodboard
The Creative Process for my Daughter's SS25 Wardrobe.
Cou cou from Paris, Happy Easter!
You know I love a moodboard. I’ve written about my creative process at length and how it always begins with a collage of images in Canva. A few days ago, I was explaining moodboards to my 5-year-old daughter and she hasn’t stopped asking about them. She wants to see examples, pick her favorites, critique them, and of course wants her own.
So, I created some moodboards for her warm weather wardrobe. It sounds over-the-top and borderline insane. I know. I contemplated sharing these moodboards because it seems excessive for a 5-year-old but maybe they are helpful for you- whether you’re looking for little girls clothes or you’re starting a passion project. A lot of the items are on sale so get it fast. I’m not every item, but this is a starting point for the wardrobe curation process.
Every creative endeavor requires brainstorming, a vision, selections, and lots of editing. Curating a wardrobe is no different especially since it’s expensive. So, why not document the process and share the creative exercise with you?
You can use this process for anything from planting a garden to redecorating a room. My creative process begins with a collage of images and a sentence. When decorating my Parisian apartment three years ago, my vision sentence was The Row meets 1970s Saint Laurent. I thoroughly explain all these steps in How to Create a Vision Board for Any Project. I’ve also written How to Start a Design Project and Decorating Your Home 101 for more help and resources.
