Bonjour from Paris,
Growing up, my favorite color was ALWAYS yellow. It’s just so happy and cheerful! As a kid, I wanted to paint my entire bedroom in bright yellow but ended up with pale aqua walls with bright yellow and white striped bedding. It was very cute, colorful, and Florida-y, which was fitting since I lived in South Florida at the time.
This summer, the hottest color in fashion and interiors is butter yellow. Think of a stick of delicious, creamy French butter. Yum. It’s also wearable, fun for your home and a welcomed divergent from the neutral color palette we’ve seen since 2020.
If you want to incorporate this trend into your home or wardrobe, less is more. For your home, I suggest adding one element like pale yellow walls with Farrow and Ball’s Farrow’s Cream. Wow! What a color! I’m obsessed. I would LOVE a bedroom painted in this stick of butter creaminess with floor-to-ceiling curtains in a shade lighter. What a stunner!

Thank you for following along! I’m leaving for Lisbon on Monday and then heading to Florida with my family for our annual U.S. World Tour. lol. We are traveling all over the place and I’m excited to see family and friends. In upcoming Postcards from Paris, I’m writing about Parisian style and interiors plus a wellness update. Stay tuned! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart if you read this far.
Bisous,
Allison
